This old, corrugated iron cottage has been expertly renovated into modern, self-contained accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable stay.
Within the ironclad walls, Angus and his siblings received their schooling via Mt Isa School of the Air and the Primary Correspondence School in Brisbane.
The last 56 kilometres of road to Noonbah is unsealed and subject to weather.  Give us a call on the morning of your travel to check conditions.
Cost: $150 per night; book here; pay on arrival - apologies, no EFTPOS.
Come to the homestead when you arrive and have a yarn.  We’ll give you your keys (only kidding), and our bird-watching checklist (not kidding), if you’re interested.  We also have bird, frog and snake field guides for purchase.
Features:
  • queen bed
  • air-conditioned
  • well-appointed bathroom
  • fully equipped kitchen (generous crockery and cutlery, electric appliances: hotplate, frypan, sandwich toaster, microwave, kettle, toaster)
  • antique wood stove (winter only)
Activities:
  • fishing
  • swimming
  • canoeing or kayaking (BYO)
  • bird watching
  • stargazing
  • walking
Stay in rustic, but classy, comfort; relax, breathe in the space; explore the amazing Noonbah landscape... or do nothing.
